Alert Logic Recertified by PCI Security Standards Council as Approved Scanning Vendor
Alert Logic announced its recertification as an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) by the Payment Card Industry (PCI)

Alert Logic announced its recertification as an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council to perform PCI vulnerability assessments for organizations that must comply with the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS).
The PCI DSS requires applicable merchants to perform quarterly vulnerability assessments to ensure credit card data is secure. With Alert Logic Threat Manager, merchants can easily schedule quarterly scans and generate reports to prove compliance and satisfy auditors. However, regular vulnerability scanning is merely one piece of the PCI compliance puzzle.
Alert Logic provides two cloud-powered, managed security services to help companies address their PCI compliance needs without any capital expense or long implementation times. Alert Logic Threat Manager with ActiveWatch monitoring addresses key elements of Requirement 11 by providing intrusion detection and vulnerability assessment. Alert Logic Log Manager with LogReview helps companies comply with Requirement 10, which requires the collection, archival and review of log data to monitor for inappropriate access to sensitive data. Together, the Alert Logic solutions address the hardest and most costly requirements of PCI DSS.
“PCI DSS has long been a key driver for many organizations to improve their security posture,” said Urvish Vashi, vice president of marketing at Alert Logic. “With Threat Manager and Log Manager, along with our monitoring services, we’ve taken a lot of the time, expense and monotony out of maintaining PCI compliance.”
